What’s Happening in Our Room?

This week we worked on learning about red.  We learned how to spell red, learned a red song, and also learned how to write the word red.  The song we learned is attached!

Ask your child:

Who is Fix it Duck?  What did he try to do?

How are you a good helper?

What do we do for tornado, lockdown, and earthquake drills?

Next week:

We are going to learn about the color yellow.  We will sing, write, and spell the word yellow!

We are going to start centers this week!  Each day your child will work on 2 or 3 centers with a partner in the afternoon!

Topics:

Letters:  J, K, L, M, N

Number:  3

Words:  the, little

Story:  Plaidypus Lost

Question of the week:  How do families cooperate?

We will also read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom this week and work on some activities!

Parent Information:

Please check your child’s take home folder each day and take out your child’s work!  They work hard on it and love to show what they have learned!  If you have any notes, please send them home!

Behavior Chart

In each child’s folder, there is a behavior chart.  I will fill out each child’s square each day before we go home.  The color of the face will denote what card they were on.  I will also put a reason why your child did not stay on green.  Please encourage your child to stay on green and make good choices throughout our school day!

PTO Spirit Wear Orders

If you or your child would like to order spirit wear, the orders are due on Monday!  Please send them to school with your child.  The orders should be here a few weeks after the order is submitted!

There is a volunteer form attached to this newsletter.  Please fill it out and return it to me!  Thank you!
